Meet The Team

I took over Ropergate Dental Care in 2019 with the view to building on the practice’s already strong reputation for delivering the highest standard of family dentistry. My vision was to create a practice that focuses on providing unparalleled patient care and offers the highest-quality dentistry available. Ropergate Dental Care is a full-service dental practice where patients are able to come to us for their essential family dental care all the way through to comprehensive cosmetic and implant work. The qualities of excellent communication and trust form part of our commitment to you and I have carefully chosen a great team of people who are able to provide you with the experience and level of service that modern dentistry demands. Since graduating from Newcastle University, I have undertaken extensive postgraduate education and I am a member of the AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) and the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) 2 organisations dedicated to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. I am also a member of the ADI (Association of Dental Implantology), which is the largest organisation in the UK dedicated to improving the standards of implant dentistry.

I have over 20 years experience in the dental industry originally qualifying as a dental nurse in 1999. I have extensive experience working in all types of different practices Being the practice manager means I am responsible for the day to day running of the practice making sure we constantly adhere to best practice for all aspects of cross infection and compliance making sure our patients are safe and well looked after. What I also enjoy is connecting with patients. The Treatment Co Ordinator role allows me to support patients through their journey as they go through life changing treatments. Treatment such as smile makeovers, invisible braces and full mouth rehabilitation with dental implants give patients the smile they have always want or the confidence to eat foods they have previously avoided. I have a significant experience of these procedures, which along with my own post qualifications in dental radiography, oral health education, sedation and dental impression taking; allows me to talk the patients through their treatment and answer any questions they may have.

I qualified with honours from Leeds University Dental School in 2003, completing my vocational training year at Ropergate Dental practice. I enjoy the human interaction of general dentistry, being able to motivate and help patients understand the importance of healthy teeth and gums and working with them to make sure they can look after their smile. Over the 15 years I have worked at the practice I have had the privilege of building long term relationships with my patients so I can help them understand the treatment options available to them and talk to them about any questions they may have. I am now looking forward to the next stage of the practice development under the care of Ropergate Dental Care & Implant Studio.

I qualified from Universidad Europa de Madrid in 2011 and relocated to England shortly after where I have been practicing for 9 years. I am committed to providing personalised patient care, and educating patients on the importance of good oral health and helping them to smile with confidence. I have a great interest and excel in cosmetic work such as individual smile designs, and also short-term fixed orthodontics and clear aligners, to meet patients needs. Seeing a patients new found confidence in their new smile is the most rewarding part of my role as a dentist. I also enjoy attending courses to learn new skills and techniques to deliver the best service to my patients and the practice. Outside of dentistry, I love to travel and explore new places, I enjoy going to the gym and playing tennis, and I love to cook and try new foods.

I finished my dental degree at the Plovid Medical University in Bulgaria in 2021. I truly enjoys working with patients to address their concerns by using my training and skills set to provide quality dental care advice and treatment.

Outside dentistry, Hassan says ‘I am a massive football fan supporting Manchester United’ and loves spending his spare time cooking and finding new places to eat’.

I started my career as a dental technician before going onto dental school at the University of Sheffield in 2007. I now specialise in orthodontics treating both children and adults. Outside of dentistry, Colleen says ‘ I enjoy running my busy farm with my family’.

I qualified from The University of Manchester in 2016 and carried out my training post in Wakefield. I then spent 12 months working in a busy oral surgery hospital department enhancing my surgical skills. Since graduating, I have prioritised my career development by completing a range of courses. Some examples of these include a Post Graduate Certificate in Restorative Dentistry, Invisalign training as well as advanced facial aesthetic courses ran by leaders in the industry.

I find dentistry incredibly rewarding and have a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and restoring patients’ confidence in their smile.

Outside of dentistry, Chimene says ‘I have a passion for music and love hitting the gym, travelling and spending my time with my huge main coon cats’!

I trained at the University of Leeds, Leeds Dental Institute and qualified in 2015. Previous to my career in dentistry, I served in the armed forces for 8 years as a combat medical technician, Most of my training and experience focused around medical emergencies and trauma. I later trained for and worked on offshore installations as a dive medic and remote locations emergency responder.

I discovered dentistry when embarking on a journey to gain as much work experience in different healthcare settings to find my passion. I love working with patients to create a comfortable and relaxed environment whilst delivering treatment that works.

My ethos is always “would I be happy with this treatment?” and I endeavours to maintain that standard. I believe deeply in compassion and understanding for my patients as it can very stressful for some, so, if you are nervous about dentistry please don’t shy away from treatment. I will try to support you throughout your journey to give you courage and confidence to achieve your dental goals.

My passion is prevention as gum disease and tooth decay are both 100% preventable and helping patients understand the importance of oral healthcare. It is so much more than just having a bright white smile but can also really help improve overall health. Any dental treatment is an investment in to your smile and it is my main objective to help you look after that investment.

My therapy role is quite extensive too, so you may see me for fillings, paediatrics patients and invisalign composite button removal, I like to explain everything during the appointments so you are well informed throughout.

Outside of dentistry Emma says ‘I’m a very proud mummy of two beautiful children and outside of work I love nothing more than spending time with them, and my wonderful husband. I also love crafting, long walks, reading or listening to audiobooks’.
