Emergency appointments in Pontefract
Dental emergencies can happen at any time, being both painful and inconvenient. At Ropergate Dental Care & Implant Studio, we allocate appointments each day in case of such emergencies. If you have a dental injury, severe pain or require an urgent appointment, please get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll endeavour to see you and relieve any pain as soon as we’re able. For emergency treatment outside of our usual opening times, please contact 111, the NHS helpline.
How do I know if I have a dental injury?
You may have suffered damage through a sporting accident, had a bacterial infection or have fractured, chipped or dislodged your teeth.
When do I book my appointment?
As the scale of dental injuries varies, it can be hard to tell if you need an emergency appointment. We advise you to call us as soon as possible in cases where:
- You have lost a tooth (place it in a glass of milk or between cheek and gum)
- You’re experiencing severe pain or have an abscess
- You have a broken or painful tooth (note – it’s not usually necessary to have emergency treatment for a chipped tooth)
Finally, if you have an injury that gives you severe jaw pain or you think your jaw may be broken, please visit your hospital. If you’re unsure, please call us as soon as possible so we can assess your condition.
