Who can have teeth whitening?
Nearly all adults can benefit – though we advise against those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. For peace of mind, we carry out a complete assessment prior to treatment to ensure it’s the right choice for you.
How much whiter can you make my teeth?
It varies from patient to patient and depends on the starting shade of your teeth. However, it’s possible to take your smile up to 12 shades brighter with Enlighten. To boost results, you can also have air polishing prior to whitening, which lifts stains and restores the natural colour.
What is Invisalign?
It’s a teeth straightening treatment that uses 3D computer-imaging technology (ClinCheck) to show you your results at each stage of your treatment, with a series of clear aligners – bespoke to you – that slowly move your teeth into position. This means your results are very predictable and the treatment is very comfortable. During your treatment, you’ll receive new aligners every few weeks and will have regular appointments here at our Ropergate dental practice to monitor your progress at each stage of treatment.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Usually, treatment takes between 6-12 months, but this varies from person to person dependent on the complexity of the case. We can give you a more accurate answer once you’ve had your complimentary consultation.
How does a dental implant work?
They look, feel and work like real teeth – whether replacing one tooth or many, or to fix dentures in place. – Under local anaesthetic, a titanium screw is first placed beneath the gum line, into the jawbone – Over a period of 3-6 months, the healing process causes the bone and implant to fuse. A temporary crown or bridge can be worn at this time – When healed, the screw acts as an artificial tooth root and a crown or bridge is attached

We want all our patients to feel comfortable and confident with their smiles. We’ll give you every opportunity to preview your smile before the implants are fitted – for most, you’ll see your smile in your own mouth before we carry out any work.
