    We can advise you on this during your appointment. The main reason gums bleed is because bacteria has built up around the teeth and caused infection – and your body has responded by sending more blood cells to the area. Bleeding from the gums – whether at an appointment or while cleaning your teeth at home – is common, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be looked into further, as it’s a sign that there’s an infection that needs treating.
